About Me

As a New York native, I have found stories and heart in every corner of the bustling city. I grew up in a family of four, with my parents encouraging creativity from the early experiences of my childhood.

In a city that makes it so easy to remain anonymous, I found myself noticing the nuances that made it my home. When I was young, I began documenting New York through the lens of my father's Olympus E-M10 and writing journal entries about exploring a new part of the city with him. My dad taught me how to "shoot from the hip," capturing the unfiltered version of the public—my favorite shots to take. I observed the people I walked past and the environments surrounding them, developing an eye to capture the perfect moment.

Whether it be a stream of consciousness or poetry, I've always found comfort in expressing myself in a way my voice couldn't. Journaling and poetry are what fueled my passion for writing, but capturing my ever-changing city sparked my interest in storytelling.

I am now studying Journalism at Boston University, where I am continuing to learn how to tell stories. I’m learning the proper skills and techniques to pursue storytelling as a career, wherever that may be.

I have been published in amNY, QNS, Sunnyside Post, Astoria Post, and the Long Island Press.
